The Nashville Association of Art Dealers (NAAD), a large art gallery membership located in neighborhoods across Nashville, continues its citywide gallery alliance with Art After Hours on First Thursday, March 4, 5pm to 8pm. This monthly art event provides art lovers and patrons an opportunity to explore Nashville’s diverse and growing art scene.
PARTICIPATING GALLERIES
- Zeitgeist (Hillsboro Village) opens Hush the Static, Justin Terry’s latest body of work and features lyrical abstract paintings which subtly reference ideas of temporality and mark the muted yet incessant flux of time;
- Cumberland Gallery (Green Hills) previews an exhibition of new works by Ahren Ahrenholz and collages by John Fraser, and will offer a book signing of Paper Chess by Kell Black. Books will be available for purchase at the gallery;
- Finer Things Gallery (near Fairgrounds) features Tennessee artist Linda Johnson’s latest series of works entitled “Day Dreaming,” conceived through a variety of pleasurable moments that she has taken from her distorted childhood memories… most of which have no defining lines or boarders
- Gallery One (Belle Meade Galleria) will be showcasing a new exhibition entitled Tender featuring the mixed media-work of Michelle Firment Reid. Her artwork incorporates lyrical handwriting as a vanishing commentary ;
- LeQuire Gallery (near Sylvan Park) will exhibit Haitian Art featuring the artwork of Haitian artists Guidel Presume, Armond Fleurimond, Emales Delis, Telfort, Rosaria, Estevenson, and Metellus. The gallery is donating 75% of sales to the artists and to the NGO (Lambi Fund or Fonkoze);
- Local Color (on Broadway) is featuring new works from local artists Leslie Gilbert and Brenda Hasty.
